Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone! Abbie is enjoying her 1st Christmas. So far we've taken a couple of naps and had a bath. What fun! Later on this afternoon G-ma and G-pa Sundstrom are coming over to visit. We hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year.

On Friday, Abbie weighed in at 7lbs 14 1/2oz and 19 1/4 inches long.

I think Ed picked out Abbie's outfit!

Love,

Abby, Abbie, or Abbi

So, we are having a dilemma on how to spell Abigail's nick name. I like the traditional ABBY and Ed likes ABBIE because he is an I-E (Eddie, which is what most of his family calls him). So, thought we'd get some other ideas. How do you think we should spell Abby? Not that it really matters because in a couple of years she'll have a personality all of her own and change it! Her is a recent picture of her.

She weighed in at 7lbs 10oz today. I think that it all went to her cheeks!

Almost there...

Well, only a few more days to go..Until the due date that is. Monday is "the day", but I am almost certain that day will come and go with absolutely no excitement. Went to the Dr this week and still not dilated AT ALL! Oh well, guess baby just wants to come on it's own schedule...that or baby is waiting for a huge snow/ice storm to decide to come into the world. The Nursery is all set to go and I am hoping to get some pictures online soon. We've made some recent changes to the set up and decor. Yup, we are getting excited... we'll keep you updated! Until later...S & E.

Shower

Well, I have two of the most wonderful friends EVER. They threw me a wonderful baby shower in Duluth on the 14th. Tiffany and Amy...Thank you for everything! It was a blast. Everyone had a great time and the games were fun.

To Everyone: Thank you all for the wonderful gifts...Ed and I truly appreciate everyone's generosity and well wishes. Only 5 weeks to go.....

(PS. Anyone else get the flu besides me?).

Your Guess....

For those of you who don't know the sex of the baby (heck even if you do..they could be wrong!), wanna guess? Add your comments to this post! I am curious what people think....

Baby's Room

Well...we've finally done it. The baby's room is painted and the floor has been re-finished. What a mess that all was. Here is an after picture of the room before any of the 'stuff' was put in. Right now it looks like a disaster area because we were able to put the Crib together (why do they give you directions that are extremely complicated, especially when it is mostly put together and all you have to really do is put the sides together with four simple bolts..ahhh!), but we were unable to put the changing table together because the box did not contain Directions or Hardware. Great! So we are just waiting for the manufacturer to send us the replacements...no biggie we have time! Other than that the baby's been kicking regularly and I passed my Glucose tolerance test! More to come...Stay tuned. 11 weeks to go...

Painting

Today we started to paint the baby's room.
When we moved into our house a little over a year ago we painted the soon-to-be baby's room a nice beige color. We did a horrible job, which we think is mainly because we really weren't in the mood to paint, but because the room had been MINT GREEN we had no other choice! So, we started with a off-white color which turned out to be way too light. We then went to this nice beige color. When we found out that we were pregnant we decided to keep the beige color because it was a nice neutral color. At first we weren't going to paint, but then when we emptied out the room and took down the pictures we decided to just go ahead and paint it again because we had extra paint left over. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough paint....No problem we thought. We have the cover that has the color information, so we just went to the store and got small can of the paint...No problem! When we got home it was the absolutely WRONG color. We had no idea what had happened. The store was really busy earlier that day, so we thought that maybe they had screwed up. Nope...Not them. Come to find out a couple hours later and yet a different gallon of paint later. That we had actually mixed the lids on the paint can. We put the lid from the FIRST attempt on the can that we actually used on the walls. The kicker to the whole thing is that we realized our mistake at the time and instead of changing the lids...we just kept the other lid...on another shelf of our paint cabinet. We are idiots sometimes when it comes to painting!
Unfortunately, a two hour project just turned into a 2 day project!

HOT!

Nothing much new has been going on here. It has been pretty hot lately and we have been keeping pretty quiet these days. Just the thought of it only being 85 degrees made Ed want to open the windows, so we did! It is a lot less humid today, so it really isn't bad.

Started feeling the Baby Baggs over the last week, nothing too consistent and thankfully the kicks and twists haven't been brutal. Over the next several weeks the kicks and jabs should become more pronounced and consistent, which I am looking forward to because it means that Ed should finally be able to feel and see it.

More updates to come.....

Chelsea

Chelsea is very excited to have another addition to the family. She probably wishes it were of the 4 legged variety, but we think she will get along just fine.

Wedding Photo

This is where is all started, our wedding Day April 5, 2002.

We have a BLOG!

Well. We finally did it. We jumped on the BLOG bandwagon! That's ok though because we have too many family and friends that live out of town/state and we really want to keep in touch. I truly tried to create our own "personal web page"...Time Warner provides free web space, but there is one catch...ya have to know HTML code! Um yeah, I'm not quite that computer literate.

SO...we now have an outlet to share all of our big news to everyone we know...thanks to T who suggested the site! You really are the best.

In case anyone who is reading this doesn't know, Ed and I are expecting our first child December 4th, 2006. We are both extremely excited and everything is going well. We had an Ultrasound a few days ago and we did find out the sex, however...we won't post the sex of the baby on this site because some people don't want to know (I don't know how you can handle the suspense!).

Ok that is all for now..There will be more later..I promise!
